The brand Rilaco® has its origins in Germany and is part of the company that launched the Amor® brand for condoms in 1968. Initially, Amor® focused on producing condoms and packaging for vending machines. Ten years later, in 1978, Amor® acquired Interlatex with the Erotim® brand, thereby expanding its product range.
Amor® primarily serves markets in Europe, Pakistan, Iran, and for many years, South America. In contrast, the Erotim® brand covers the Caribbean and Central America. In recent years, the product range has expanded beyond condoms to include medical supplies for gynecologists, hospitals, and similar institutions. These products include medical protective covers, contact gel, finger cots, and latex gloves, which are mainly distributed in Austria, Poland, Turkey, Russia, and France.
In 2004, Michael Dills, who was then a board member of Condomi, took over the entire company, including all brands. Two years later, in 2006, Dills expanded the portfolio by acquiring Rimbacher Latex Contor and thereby the brands Rilaco®, RilaSon®, and Playgel®.
In 2011, the company moved to a new building in Arnstadt, Thuringia, which features a modern warehouse and new production facilities. This relocation enabled the company to increase its production capacities and improve efficiency.
